The Regulating Effect on Different Moxibustion for Colonic Mucosa Mucin in Rats with Ulcerative Colitis

Objective:To investigate the injury of colon and the secretion of mucin in rats of ulcerative colitis treated by different moxibustion. Methods:60 rats were randomly assigned to normal,model,herb-partition moxibstion,ginger-partition moxibustion,garlic-partition moxibustion and warm moxibustion groups. A rat model of UC was established by an immunological method plus local stimulation. Points bilateral Tianshu and Qihai were selected for herb-partition moxibstion,ginger-partition moxibustion,garlic-partition moxibustion and warm moxibustion groups,the treatment continued for 14 times. After treatment,the weight,stool,general form and morphology changes of colonic tissues were observed. The secretion of mucin was examined. Results:The weight of model rats increased slowly,and the diarrhea sign was occur,the ulcer were observed in pathology;the neutral and acor mucin excretion were significantly reduced compared with normal group (P0.01).The weight,stool system and colon structure of rats were improver by the treatment of herb-partition moxibstion ,ginger-partition moxibustion,garlic-partition moxibustion and warm moxibustion.Apart of the warm moxibustion group,the ulcer almost have been healed in herb-partition moxibstion group,ginger-partition moxibustion group,garlic-partition moxibustion group. The excretion of neutral and acor mucin were up-regulated compared with model group in colon mucosa (P0.05~0.01). Conclusion:The injured colon mucosa can be recoved by herb-partition moxibstion ,ginger-partition moxibustion,garlic-partition moxibustion and warm moxibustion,through by regulating the mucin expression.
