Efficacy Trials of Expelling Fasciola Hepatica by Two Anthelmintic In Sheep

Eighty sheep aged 6~8 months naturally infected with Fasciola hepatica were used to carry out the experiment on effect of Triclabendazole tablet and Ciosantel injection.The results showed that the negative rate,reductive rate of Fasciola hepatica ova and the deworming rate of adult parasite was 100%by dosage of 5,10 and 15 mg/kg with Triclabendazole tablet.The deworming rate of Fasciola hepatica larvae was 93.9%,100.0%and 100.0%respectively.The negative rate of Fasciola hepatica ova was60.0%,80.0%and 100.0%respectively and the reductive rate was 89.2%,98.2%and 100.0%respectively by dosage of 5,10 and15 mg/kg with Ciosantel injection respectively.The deworming rate of Fasciola hepatica adult was 97.9%,100.0%and 100.0%respectively and larvae was 90.7%,94.3%and 100.0%respectively;Effect of deworming Fasciola hepaticau using Triclabendazole tablet by dosage of 10 mg/kg was not significantly different comparing with the same dosage of controlling Triclabendazole suspension.The sheep with three dosages did not appear abnormal reaction.The experiment proved that 5 mg/kg,10 mg/kg and 15 mg/kg with Triclabendazole tablet and 10 mg/kg and 15 mg/kg with Closantel injecttion were effective and safe for sheep deworming Fasciola hepatic.The dosage of Triclabendazole tablet and Ciosantel injection against Fasciola hepatica in sheep were not less than 5 mg/kg or 10 mg/kg.
