Abstract

Objective To explore the changes of the level of endotheliolysin(ET-1),calcitonin gene-related peptamine(CGRP) and nitric oxide no in patients with cerebral infarction before and after treatment. Methods The levels of ET-1 and CGRP in plasma and the level of NO in serum in 60 cases of cerebral infarction were determined through radioimmunoassay and nitrate reductase, colorimetry respectively. Results The level of ET-1,the ratio of ET-1 and CGRP and the ratio of ET-1 and NO were all found higher than those in the contrast group (P0.01),while the levels of CGRP and NO were much lower than those in the contrast group (P0.01).The levels of ET-1,CGRP and NO restored to the normal values after treatment in contrast with those in the contrast group. Conclusion The levels of ET-1,CGRP and NO were closely related to the occurrence of cerebral infarction. The determination of NO,ET-1 and CGRP and the calculation of the ratio of ET-1 and CGRP and the ratio of ET-1 and NO can help to study the curative effects and evaluate the prognosis.
