Abstract
In Tang dynasty,the doctrines of religion went deeply into the minds of scholars and religious images changed into literary and artistic images.The spirit of the day in Tang dynasty shared some common features with the spirit of religion that accepted easily by scholars.The following conception of scholars for religion was exhibited unconsciously when they wrote chivalrous novels.Religion concerned society and politics and advocated freedom and practicality.
