Abstract
The indigo was used to dye PLA fabric. The effects of pH value of dye bath, dyeing temperature and time, the amount of added urea on dyeing depth were discussed. The results showed that PLA fiber dyed at 100 ℃,pH value 6 for 30 min with ideal dyeing effect could be obtained.Dyeing depth was increased by adding urea. The maximum amount of added urea was 5 g/L when 2%(owf) of dye used.Indigo showed excellent building-up property on PLA fabric. The dyed fabrics had better color fastness to rubbing and soaping. The dyed fabrics had best color fastness to rubbing and soaping when 2%(owf) of dye used.
