Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and to discuss the clinical application value. Methods: January 2010—March 2012 118 stable stage of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease cases were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 59cases for each. The control group gave up smoking, avoiding or preventing dust, smoke and harmful body inhaled medication, oxygen therapy. The observation group on the basis of the control group, added traditional Chinese medicine treatment based on syndrome differentiation, the course of treatment was 3 months. Results: Before intervention, two groups patients' quality of life showed no significant difference( P 0. 05); after intervention for one year, the total clinical effective in observation group was 93. 22%,quality of life score( 90. 34 ± 5. 34) was higher than that of the control group 83. 33%,( 70. 60 ± 12. 34); observation group episodes( 0. 98 ± 0. 45) and hospitalization time( 14. 67 ± 3. 56) days were lower than those of the control group( 1. 77 ± 0. 67),( 24. 56 ±4. 45) days( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can improve the efficacy and quality of life and reduce the number of attacks and the duration of hospitalization. It is worthy of clinical application.
