Abstract
Aim To understand the composision and distribution of species of plague host animals in Quangzhou City and accumulate basic data for plague prevention and control. Methods Epidemiology, taxonomy and serology were adopted for analysis. Results There 2 134 rats were captured with an average rat density of 5.71%.Rattus flavipectus and Xenopsylla cheopis accounted for 26.66%and 92.88%,and the infection rate of rats with flea was 31.52%,with total flea index of 1.16,and Xenopsylla cheopis flea index 1.13.F1 antibody to the plague was not found. Conclusion The results showed that relatively high density of animal plague epidemic if no proper measures was implemented. So we should be attached importance.host animals and vectors were found, which would possibly facilitate
