Abstract

To investigate the antibiotic resistance of E. coli isolated from poulrty in large-scale farms of Guizhou. According to the conventional method, 1 180 samples from 65 large-scale farms in five regions of Guizhou were collected, 839 E. coli strains were identified by biochemical identification method, the isolation rate was 70.98%, and were measured the MIC values to 9 kinds of antibiotics with the method of micro-broth dilution. Result demonstrated that the poulrty E. coli strains to the 9 kinds of antibiotics hanve different degrees of resistance, the resistance rates to terramycin, florfenicol and compound sulfamethoxazole were as high as 80% above, the resistance rates to polymyxin E and spectinomycin were relatively low. 839 E. coli strains were multiple drug-resis-tant strains, and were resistanted to at least to two kinds of antimicrobial, at most to 9 kinds of antimicrobial.
