Abstract

Objective To investigate if ionizing radiation could enhance tumor inhibiting effects in mouse. Methods 0.2ml LA795 cell suspension(3.5X107cells/ml)were subcutaneously injected into flanks of IRM-2 mice, the inoculated mice were devided into 5 groups :control;treated with simple E838 with a dose of 5,7.5 and 10 mg/kg daily, for 7 days;treated with simple cytoxan with dose at 25 mg/kg(4times),only irradiated with 1 Gy γ-ray and E838 combined with r-ray group. Results The tumor inhibiting rate for the E838 treated group were 42.73,70.91 and 64.09% respectively, there were significant difference compared with the control group(P0.05,The tumor inhibiting rate for the combination group were 63.63,75 and 68.64 respectively(P0.05,compared with control group),but there were no significant difference between E838 groups and the combination groups. Conclusion These data suggest that E838 have significant inhibiting effects for inoculated tumor in mouse.,the tumor inhibition rate of combination groups seems to be higher than that of E838 treatment groups, but with no significant difference.
