Abstract
Service is one of the three major functions of colleges,while social service is an important aspect of the connotation of service.The duty of social service performed by local vocational colleges has a special significance.The philosophy unveiled by developing school out of school is that social service and school development are mutually dependent.The social service of local colleges is work of conscience;the establishment of service system reflects the positioning and value orientation of the school to some extent,related to the promotion of its teaching mechanism.Establishing and perfecting the social service mechanism of local colleges is the inevitable requirement for the development of its connotation.
