Clinical efficacy of hemoperfusion combing with hemodialysis for uremia

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of hemoperfusion combing with hemodialysis for uremia.Methods:A total of 76 patients with uremia were randomly divided into study group and control group with 38 cases in each group.The study group was treated with hemoperfusion and hemodialysis,twice a week;while the control group was treated with conventional hemodialysis.Improvements in hypertension,itching skin,anemia and other symptoms,as well as serum creatinine(Cr),urea nitrogen(BUN),middle molecular substances(MMS),parathyroid hormone(PTH) levels were observed and compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,both groups showed improvements in blood pressure,itching skin,and increased hemoglobin and hematocrit;but the improvements in the study group was more significantly than that of the control group(P0.05).After treatment,Cr,BUN,MMS,PTH levels were significantly decreased in both groups,but the decrease was more obviously in the study group(P0.05).Conclusions:Hemoperfusion combing with hemodialysis can effectively remove parathyroid hormone and other toxic substances,thus show good clinical efficacy on uremia.
