Abstract
Objective: To analyze the short-term local therapeutic efficacy,complication and side-effect of hepatic carcinoma and hepatic metastases treated by radiofrequency ablation(RFA). Methods: RFA was performed on 16 tumors in 13 patients, the result was evaluated by applying plain and double-phase spiral CT scanning. Results: Thirteen cases were treated successfully, the complete coagulative necrosis rates were 100% , 77. 8% , 33. 3% and 0, respectively in tumors with diameter of less than 3. 0 cm, 3. 1-4. 0 cm, 4. 1 -5. 0 cm and more than 5.1 cm after 1-5 months CT scan follow-up. Conclusion: RFA is an effective, safe and reliable method in the treatment of liver tumor.
