Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects and values of radiofrequency ablation(RFA)for metastatic liver cancer. Methods Percutaneous RFA was performed under the guidance of color ultrasonography. The results were evaluated by the double-phase CT scanning one month following percutaneous RFA.All the patients were followed up for 2 years and the 0.5-,y- and 2-year survival rate was calculated. Results There were 76 tumors in 37 patients. The tumor diameters were between 4.8 to 12cm(average 7.1±3.2 cm).The number of tumor with diameters of less than 5.0 cm,5.0~10.0 cm,and more than 10.0 cm was 43,27 and 6,respectively.The complete coagulative necrosis rate was 95.34%,60.92%,0,respectively.The 0.5-,y- and 2-year survival rate was 94.75%,81.38% and 63.62%,respectively.Conclusion RFA is safe, effective and reliable in the treatment of metastatic liver cancer.
