Evaluation of the stimulation of policresulen solution on the vaginal mucosa and skin of rabbits

Abstract

Objective: In order to provide a basis for clinical medication of policresulen solution, the local stimulation was evaluated. Methods: Four experiments with multiple dosing were carried out on rabbit’s intact and damaged vaginal mucosa and skin and the stimulation was observed by naked eyes and histopathology method during the delivery and recovery periods. Results: Policresulen solution has mild stimulation on rabbit’s intact and damaged vaginal mucosa, but no pathological damage. It has mild stimulation on damaged skin, but not on intact skin. Conclusion: Policresulen solution has selective solidification, which results in denaturation and falling off of proteins in necrosis or diseased tissues, and has no significant stimulation on the tissues under an intact physical barrier. Mild irritation of policresulen solution on the subcutaneous tissues with destructive barrier is an inherent manifestation of drug effect, rather than adverse reactions.
