The value of transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosis of endometrial polyps

Objective: To study the value of transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosis of endometrial polyps and increase the rate of diagnosis of endometrial polyps.Methods: 149 cases of endometrial polyps which had diagnosed by transvaginal ultrasound and pathology after the operation of hysteroscope were analyzed retrospectively.Results: The coincidence and misdiagnosis rate of 149 cases of endometrial polyps which had diagnosed by transvaginal ultrasound and pathology were respectively 89.9%(134/149) and 10.1%(15/149).Sonogram showed medium to high-level echo.90 cases of signal blood flow(60.4%) were shown and 59 cases of signal blood flow(39.6%) weren't shown by color Doppler.SPV:(10.0±3.7) cm/s;RI:(0.56±0.08).Conclusion: Sonogram of endometrial polyps is characteristic,the method of transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosis of endometrial polyps is the simplest and the best convenient.Increase the rate of diagnosis and provide the dependable information for clinic by differential diagnosis because the probe of ultrasound directly contact target organ and image is clear.
