Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of intra-artery thrombolysis therapy for acute ischemic cerebral infarction (AICI). Methods Thirty-six patients of AICI in 4-24 h were treated with intra-arterial thrombolysis by urokinase within 1 million IU. Results Sixteen patients received complete recanalization. Significant effective was found in 13 patients, while effective in 6, resulting the total effective rate of 97.2%. Conclusion Intra-artery thrombolysis therapy for AICI is a safe and effective therapeutic method of AICI.
