Experiences of repairing large abdominal incisional hernia with mesh on 9 patients

Abstract
Objective To review the clinical experiences in repairing large abdominal incisional hernia by mesh.Methods Nine cases of large abdominal incisional hernia repaired by Dacron, Marlex and Tefton were analyzed in respects to the preoperative preprations, surgical procedures and postoperative drainage. All the patients were healed. During a follow up of 4 months to 12 years, none of the patients recurred.Conclusion Repairing large abdominal incisonal hernia by mesh is a simple, easy and effective method.
