Crosscut method correction epicanthus joint biologic protein line double eyelid resection

Objective To seek a surgical method which damage minimum and traces the lightest and that the epicanthus with double eyelid forming are finished at the same time.Methods There are 178 patiens with foldest eyelid combined with epicanthus in mild-to-moderate degree in this group.They were all treated with crosscut method correction epicanthus.Inclined cutting down the lower eyelid skin and cutting off part of the endocanthion ligaments at the same time,while united cut method of double eyelid resection.In order to seek a surgical method which damage minimum and traces the lightest to the tissue,Intraoperative flap was sutured by biological proteins line without tension.the double eyelid design method was same to the routine.Results These 178 cases were followed up for above 6 months.No obvious scar in epicanthus incision and no recurrence.All patients postoperative achieved success with nature shaped double eyelid and got satisfactory effects.Conclusion Crosscut method correction epicanthus joint biologic protein line double eyelid resection is a simply and effective method.Compared with the other epicanthus correcting,it has obvious little injury,incision without obvious scar,maintain Asian eye form,quick recovery,simple operation etc.
