Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of combination treatment of amlodipine and irbesartan and single drug with double dose on early microalbuminuria(MAU) in type 2 diabetic patients with hypertension.METHODS:The randomized,double-blind and the single drug with double dose of controlled clinical research were adopted.340 cases were randomly divided into the amlodipine group(10 mg·d-1,n=114),irbesartan group(300 mg·d-1,n=112) and combination group(amlodipine 5 mg + irbesartan 150 mg·d-1,n=114).The MAU and blood pressure of selected patients were determined at the beginning of the research,4 and 8 weeks after treatment respectively.RESULTS:After 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, the decrease of MAU in combination group was more significant than two single-drug groups, the difference had statistical significance(P0.05);the decrease of the blood pressure among 3 groups had no statistical significant difference(P0.05).As the adverse reaction in combination group was compared the two single-drug groups, the differences were statistically significant(all P0.05).CONCLUSION:Amlodipine can be combined with irbesartan to reduce the onset time of MAU and strength the effect of irbesartan in reducing MAU in advance.Adverse drug reaction also have been significantly reduced.
