Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-PKB) in human cervical carcinoma and the effects in the tumorigenesis and progression of the human cervical carcinoma.Methods Expression of p-PKB protein was detected by using SP immunohistochemical staining in specimens of 51 cases of cancer of cervix,36 cases of cervix intraepithelial neoplasia,and 20 cases of normal cervical tissue.The relationship between p-PKB protein expression and the clinicopathological factors in carcinoma cervical was analyzed.Results The rate of positive expression of p-PKB in cervical carcinoma was remarkably higher than that in CIN and in normal cervical tissue,the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).The expression of p-PKB was correlated to clinical stage,differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis(P0.05). Conclusion The overexpression of p-PKB in carcinoma cervical may correlate with carcinogenesis and progression of carcinoma cervical.
