The Culture Similarities and Differences Reflected by the Associative Meanings of Lexicon

As part of language, the associative meanings of the words play a significant role in culture. People in different cultures may get the same or different associations about the same objects and phenomena. They may also have special associative meaning about one thing while others can not find the comparable meaning in another culture context. This paper tries to analyze the culture similarities and differences from the aspect of the words’ associative meanings.
