Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To establish the quality standard for Shengfa ointment. METHODS: Angelicae sinensis and Carthamus tinctorius in Shengfa ointment were identified by TLC. The content of ferulic acid in Shengfa ointment was determined by HPLC. RESULTS: The TLC spots of A. sinensis and C. tinctorius were clear with good resolution and free from interference of negative samples. The linear ranges of ferulic acid were 98.7-592.2 μg(r=0.999 5) respectively. The average recovery was 98.95% (RSD=1.88%,n=9), respectively. CONCLUSION: The established standard is applicable for the quality control of Shengfa ointment.
