Abstract
Objective:To investigate the status of Rotavirus infection in infants(5 yrs) with diarrhea in Lishui district, and provide the credible evidence for the clinical diagnosis and the treatment of Rotavirus infection. Methods: Rotavirus antigen of 3373 stool specimens of infants with diarrhea were detected with immune colloidal gold method, and the examining results were compared. Results: 982 cases were positive in the test with the total positive rate of 29.1%.In 6 months to 1 year group and 1~2 years group, the positive rates were 31.6% and 35.9% respectively. The highest incidence of disease occurs in October to the following February. Conclusion: The Rotavirus is the main pathogen in infants with diarrhea, especially in 6 months to 2 years period, and the infection incidence reaches the peak from October to the following February.Clinician should pay more attention to the detection of pathogen leading to diarrhea, and make rational diagnosis, preventing the abuse of antibiotics.
