Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to study the analytical method of simultaneous detection of arsenic and mercury in soil by nitric acid system digestion and hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry. [Method] After the sample was digested by microwave digestion instrument, arsenic and mercury in soil were determined by dualchannel atomic fluorescence spectrometry using optimum working conditions of microwave digestion and nitric acid system et al. [Result] The linear relationship of arsenic and mercury were good in the range of 0- 150 μg / L and 0- 3 μg / L respectively, the detection limit of arsenic and mercury were 0. 60 μg / L and 0. 02 μg / L respectively, the quantification limit of arsenic and mercury were 2. 00 μg / L and 0. 07 μg / L respectively, the recoveries at spiked levels of arsenic and mercury were in the rang of 92. 8%- 107. 0% and 92. 8%- 104. 0% respectively, and the relative standard deviations( RSD) of arsenic and mercury were in the rang of 1. 5%- 3. 5% and 2. 5%- 3. 0% respectively. [Conclusion] With the advantages of simplicity, sensitivity and repeatability, the method can meet the requirements for simultaneous determination of arsenic and mercury in soil.
