Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical value of CT virtual bronchoscopy (CTVB). Methods: Fifty patients with clinically suspected lung diseases were examined with helical CT. The raw data were downloaded to a workstation for interactive intraluminal. Results: 47 lesions were identified on the CTVB including 38 cases of lung cancer, 7 of lung tuberculosis, 2 of inflammary process. Another three were found nothing wrong. The sensitivity of CTVB to display the intraluminal lesions was good, but the specificity was not good enough. Conclusion: CTVB is a nonivasive diagnostic method and could be a effective tool in the detection of bronchus lesions.
