Surgical treatment for traumatic dislocated lenses and secondary glaucoma.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of combined surgical approaches in management of traumatic dislocated lens and secondary glaucoma. Methods 26 eyes were treated with lensectomy, vitrectomy and trabeculectomy.25 of the 26 eyes combined with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. The other 5 eyes were treated with extraction of lens through a limbal incision,anterior vitrectomy and trabecuectomy. Results 5 eyes got 0.1-0.3 visual acuity, 11 eyes got 0.4-0.6 visual acuity, 15 eyes got 0.7 or better visual acuity after surgery. Intraocular pressure (IOP) of 30 eyes were normal. IOP of 1 eyes wasn't controlled, and it was normal after silicon tube implantation. Conclusions For traumatic dislocation of lens and secondary glaucoma, the combined operation of different surgical approaches is effective and safe.
