Abstract
The main shipping channel bridge of Shanghai Changjiang River Bridge is designed as a cable-stayed bridge that has a main span 730 m,double pylons in inverted Y shape, double cable planes and separated steel box girders. This paper presents the two main characteristics of the bridge, such as the connection of the longitudinal and transverse beams and the special structures for arrangement of the light rail transit in the design of the steel box girders, the structural formation of the major joints and the related calculation.
