Abstract
The main navigable span bridge of Shanghai Changjiang River Bridge is a steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with double pylons, double cable planes and with span arrangement(92+258+730+258+92) m and the bridge is designed as a 5-span continuous full floating system. The main girders of the bridge are of the separated twin girders, each being a streamlined flat closed structure. In this paper, the key techniques for the manufacturing, the integral transportation and field installation of the girders are presented.
