Evaluation on clinical applications of automatic nucleated red blood cell count by LH-750 blood cell analyzer

Objective To evaluate the veracity of automatic nucleated red blood cell(NRBC)count by COULTER LH-750 blood cell analyzer.Methods The peripheral blood NRBC of 120 patients were counted by both COULTER LH-750 automatic blood cell analyzer and manual method with microscope.Results The counting results of high value and medium value had no significant difference between the manual and automatic methods(P 0.05 ),the counting results of low value had significant difference between the manual and automatic methods(P0.01).The average CV of absolute NRBC count of high,medium and low value was below 6%.Sensitivity was 92.3% ,specificity 97.7%,false positive 14.3%,false negative 1.16%.Conclusion The NRBC counting by the COULTER LH-750 blood cell analyzer is accurate,quick and helpful to the screening and diagnosis of some hematological and tumorous chemotherapy patients.
