The Exploring Thought on the Reform of Independent College English Teaching

Abstract

At present, the characteristics of Independent College students show that these students have a poor foundation, little interest and bad attitudes towards college English learning. Although Independent College English teaching has made massive teaching reform innovation in view of these characteristics by using multimedia teaching, strengthening foundation teaching and carrying out various types of English competitions, which has made certain progress. But there is still great reform innovation space for Independent College English teaching. Therefore, this paper proposes some exploring thoughts on reform of Independent College English teaching according to present situation of Independent College students'English study and presents situation and existence problems of Independent College English teaching.
