Abstract
Callus was induced from immature embryos of six maize inbred lines on N6 medium supplemented with various phytohormones. The results indicated that 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) was necessary in inducing callus, and its concentration 2.0-2.5 mg/L.Different maize varieties had different regeneration capacities, the induction rates of Zong 3,Zheng 58 and K12 were over 85%;that of 137 and 87-1 ranged from50% to 60%;but that of the chang 7-2 was low 25%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
