On the mechanism of urban suburbanization:taking Hangzhou as an example

With Hangzhou as an example,this paper analyzes the mechanism of suburbanization from the angle of population suburbanization and industry suburbanization.It is contended that Chinese suburbanization is impacted significantly by government planning and policy,and is at present at the primary stage.The guiding affect of government to suburbanization is mainly unclosed with the objective of optimizing the industry structure,and ways of not breaking the existing system are taken.So,while the guiding affect reduces the policy cost,it also makes Chinese urbanization different to the developed countries.This paper deduces the development mechanism of Chinese suburbanization from the point of view of urban emergence and evolvement.Finally,it proposes suggestions for the government to enhance urban function.
