On the basis of making clear the situation of suburbanization in Hangzhou, the author lays emphasis on the mechanisms of suburbanization in Hangzhou. The end of this study shows that remaking the old city and constructing the new district, constructing and consummating transport facilities, urban planning and urban policy, and distribution of the price of land and house are all the most important factors which affect the development of suburbanization in Hangzhou. The departments of urban planning and urban management ought to take all kinds of the mechanisms of development of suburbanization as the respect, and guide suburbanization practically and effectually.
