Abstract

Objective To evaluate the roles of MSCT perfusion imaging in diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma. Methods MSCT perfusion scanning was performed in 30 patients(tumor group),who were confirmed pancreatic cancer by pathology, and in 16 patients(normal group) without pancreatic disorders served as controls. The perfusion characteristics of normal pancreas and pancreatic carcinoma were analyzed. The data of MSCT perfusion parameters, including blood flow(BF)、blood volume(BV)、mean transit time(MTT)、permeability surface(PS), were measured and analyzed statistically. Results The mean BF、BV、MTT and PS in normal group were respectively(3864.6±413.7)mL·min~(-1)·kg~(-1)、(282.6±128.5)mL/kg、(7.54±3.83)s、(281.4±83.7) mL·min~(-1)·kg~(-1).Tumor group BF、BV、MTT and PS values were(2056.2±532.1)mL·min~(-1)·kg~(-1)、(176.3±162.3) mL/kg、(8.12±2.95)s、(436.5±79.3) mL·min~(-1)·kg~(-1),respectively.The mean BF、BV and PS between pancreatic carcinoma and normal pancreas were statistically significant(BF:P0.01,BV:P0.05,PS:P0.01).However,the mean MTT between two groups was not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion MSCT perfusion imaging for diagnosis of pancreatic cancer has an important value,to provide early guidance for clinical surgery.
