Abstract
In order to solve the failure problem in intake manifold of a gasoline engine,which was found in the engine tests,the initial design models were analyzed with finite element analysis software ABAQUS.The displacement response of intake manifold,which excited by engine vibration,was calculated by Random Response Analysis tool in ABAQUS.According to the failure situation of the samples and calculated results,some improvement suggestions,which were proved much more reasonable in the following engine tests,were presented.
