Abstract
Cyclohexyl acetate was synthesized by esterification of acetic acid and cyclohexanol using TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 as a catalyst. Factors influencing the synthesis were discussed. The optimum conditions were as follows: the molar ratio of acetic acid to cyclohexanol is 1.0 ∶1.1, the amount of TiSiW 12 O 40 /TiO 2 is 5%(wt) of acetic acid; the reaction time is 1.5h. Under the optimum conditions the conversion of acetic acid is 95.5%.
