Abstract
Objective To observe the inflammatory parameters such as serum Hs-CRP (hypersensitive C-reactive protein) and white blood cells and their correlation with HDL-C (High density lipoprotein cholesterol) in patients with CHD (Coronary heart disease). Methods Serum Hs-CRP, HDL-C and WBC were measured in 21 control subjects and CHD patients including 44 AMI (Acute myocardial infarction), 42 UAP (Unstable angina pectoris) and 21 SAP (Stable angina pectoris). Results The Hs-CRP was higher in AMI patients than that in control subjects and in patients with SAP. Hs-CRP was negatively correlative with HDL-C, positive correlative with WBC. Conclusions An acute inflammatory process exists in the pathogenesis of CHD, and these 3 indexes might be consistent during certain stage of the disease.
