Abstract
Objective To improve the accuracy of the rapid intraoperative diagnosis of breast masses. Methods We took both imprint cytology and frozen section, and compared the results with the postoperation diagnosis. Results Among 652 cases,646 were diagnosed correctly with frozen section,99.04 % for correct rate;636 were diagnosed correctly with imprint cytology,97.43% for correct rate;considering the combination methods,649 were diagnosed correctly and the correct rate reached to 99.52 %.Conclusion Using both imprint cytology and frozen section during operation can increase the accuracy of rapid intraoperative diagnosis of breast masses.
