Abstract
The trend of development of urban space in the world is turning toward underground at the moment. Urban underground space resource is becoming a new topic of human development in the twenty-first century.So the assessment of underground space turns into the first step for development and utilization of urban underground space. The purpose of such assessment is to predict the volume and value of the underground resource in order to give an ori- entation for development underground.Based on the underground space feature,this paper discusses the status and development of assessment of urban underground space resource and briefly introduces the eontent,objective,method of the assessment and so on,in order to give a comprehensive outline to the assessment of urban underground space resource.
