Abstract

AIM:To established a method for determining geniposide and baicalin in four preparations cantaining Fructus gardeniae and Radix Scutellariae by HPLC.METHODS:The separation was performed on Lichrospher C_ 18 column;using water-phosphoric acid(53∶0.2)and acetonitrile as a mobile phase, gradient elution. The detection wavelength was 240 nm.The flow rate was at 1.0 mL/min.The column temperature was at room temperature.RESULTS:The linear range of geniposide was in the range of 1.9-76 μg/mL,r=0.999 9,the average recovery was 101.3%.The linear range of baicalin was 10.58-423 μg/mL,r=0.999 9,the average recovery was 100.6%.CONCLUSION:This method is rapid, sensitive and accurate. It indicates that geniposide and bai-calin in traditional Chinese medicine preparations can be determinated simultaneously, and the method can be used for quality control.
