Abstract

Jiang Shun-yi attempted to construct a logical structure of Ci-poetics through his reflection on the old style of Cihua. He inquired into the sound source of Ci's rhythm based on rich evidence. In order to construct Ci-poetics, he first gathered some discussions about the state of Ci in large-scale, which was significant to the development of the concept of the state of Ci. He inherited and reflected the two previous concepts of the quality of Ci and therefore set up his own thought of the quality of Ci.
