Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the longterm results in the endoscopic surgery of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and parasinus. METHODS A retrospective analysis of 32 cases of patients who underwent endoscopic surgery to treat inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and parasinus. RESULTS All 32 patients were operated by the intranasal endoscopic approach.The duration of followup was 9-96 months.Only 9 cases had recurrence 3-12 months post operation,all of which were then cured by intranasal endoscopic approach.No patients were lost to follow-up.No serious complications were found in this study.CONCLUSION Inverted papilloma can be addressed endoscopically when possible,and very good results could be achieved in low Krouse stage.
