Abstract
Objective To explore how to prevent the complications of intravascular embolization for intracranial aneurysms in order to increase its safety. Methods Totally 66 patients with 70 intracranial aneurysms were embolized with Guglielmi detachable coils(GDC).There were 4 aneurysm ruptures,2 thromboses,1 coil of amiss embolization, and 2 vasospasms. All complications were respectively treated. Results Due to the complications,2 patients died of aneurysm rupture(3.03%).Another 2 transitory neurological deficits(3.03%) had excellent results after treatment. Conclusion Skilled embolizing technique, improved embolic material, and correct judgment during operation are helpful to reduce the rate of complications.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
