Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To detect the expression of BAG-1 in breast cancer and evaluate its clinical significance.METHODS:The expression of BAG-1 in breast cancer was detected by immunohistochemical staining with DAKO EnVision System, and its clinical significance and bionomics were evaluated.RESULTS:The staining of BAG-1 was buffy and mainly located in the cytoplasm of positive cells. The positive rates of BAG-1 in all detected cancers were higher than those in their control hyperplasitic tissue and normal tissue. There was a significant difference of positive rates between the cancer tissue and the normal tissue,P0.05.The expression of BAG-1 in breast cancer was not related to the sizes, grades, and metastasis of axillary nodes, but it was correlated with the 5 year survival rate significantly, and related to the expressions of ER,PR and HER-2 in breast cancer,P0.01.CONCLUSION:It is significant to evaluate the clinical characteristics and prognosis with the expression of BAG-1 in breast cancer.
