Abstract

Aim:To investigate the expression of BI-1 and P53 in breast cancer tissue. Methods:Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of BI-1 and P53 in 64 cases of breast cancer tissue and the matched normal breast tissue. Results:The positive expression rates of BI-1 and P53 were 76.6% and 46.9%,higher than those in normal breast tissue(3.1% and 4.7%,P0.05),respectively.The expression of BI-1 had no significant difference between the different histological grades and clinical stages(P0.05).The expression of P53 increased with the increase of histological grades and clinical stages(P0.05).The positive expression rates of BI-1 and P53 in the group with lymph node metastasis were both higher than those in the group without lymph node metastasis(P0.05).The expression of BI-1 and P53 was positively correlated in breast cancer tissue(r=0.672,P0.05).Conclusion:Detection of BI-1 and P53 in breast cancer tissue is of great significance for exploring the cause of breast cancer, estimating prognosis, and gene therapy.
