The Associativity Study on Diabetic Fatty Liver and Insulin Resistance

Objective:To investigate the relationship between insulin resistance and diabetic fatty liver to understand the associativity on diabetic fatty liver and insulin resistance as well as the significance of improving insulin resistance on prevention and treatment of diabetic fatty liver.Methods:60 cases with diabetic fatty liver and 108 cases with diabetes but no fatty liver were chosen,and their blood sugar(BS),glycosylated hemoglobin(GH),blood-fat,insulin,haemorheology and type B ultrasound on liver were determined.At the same time insulin sensitivity index(ISI),insulin resistance index(IR) and body mass index(BMI) were calculated and analyzed.Results:The cases with diabetes combined with fatty liver showed four tendency,which were high blood sugar,high blood fat,high blood viscosity,and hyperinsulinemia,but insulin sensitivity index(ISI) decreased,insulin resistance index increased markedly.There was significant difference between treatment group and control group(P0.01 or P0.05).Conclusion:Diabetic fatty liver are closely associated with insulin resistance.Improving insulin resistance has important significance in the prevention and treatment of diabetic fatty liver.
