Abstract

Purpose:To evaluate the MRI diagnostic value of rheumatoid arthritis of the limb joint. Methods:The MRI findings in 612 patients with RA who had been clinically confirmed were analyzed retrospectively.A low-field MR scanner(E-scan 0.2T)was used. Results:The manifestations of MR signal intensity and shape of rheumatoid arthritis which were caused by synovial hyperlasis, articular cartilage destruction, bone erosion, intraosseous cyst, tenosynotitis, tendon rupture and rice body were clearly showed by MRI.Conclusion:MRI may reflect pathologic changes of rheumatoid arthritis.MRI has important value in the diagnosis of RA. Early synovitis and erosion were valuable factors in the assessment of activity and prognosis of RA.
