Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of early enteral nutrition in patients after esophageal cancer surgery and relevant nursing measures. Methods Thirty-six patients receiving esophageal cancer surgery from January 2011 to March 2012 were selected as the observation group while 41 patients receiving esophageal cancer surgery from January 2008 to December 2010 were selected as the control group. The observation group was given early enteral nutrition and relevant nursing while the control group was given traditional parenteral nutrition and relevant nursing.Postoperative rehabilitation indicators and curative effects of the two groups were compared. Results The observation group was superior to the control group in the postoperative exhaust, defecation, suture removal and other indicators(P 0.05).The observation group had less complications than the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion Application of early enteral nutrition after esophageal cancer surgery is safe and reliable, and high-quality and highly effective nursing is the guarantee of successful enteral nutrition.
