Abstract
While the box girder of gantry crane is designed by traditional designing method,the stress of box girder can not be usually analysed intensively,which results in the inaccurate results and affects the operationperformance of gantry crane.In this paper,the finite element model of box girder is built with finite element method,and the separate stress analysis is carried out while the load is acting on the middle of the main girder and the cantilevered end.Finally the amount of deformation of static load acting on the main girder is obtained. The results provide an effective analysis method for the design of gantry crane.
