Abstract
3-Chlorine-2-hydroxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride was synthesized by trimethylammonium chloride(TMAHC) and epichlorohydrin(ECH) as the raw materials using ethanol as solvent.The optimal technology for synthesis CHPTMAC was found,mole ratio of epichlorohydin to trimethylammonium chloride is 0.95 ∶1,reaction temperature is 40~50 ℃,the reaction time is 0.5 h,the pH is 8,the purity of product is over 98%,yield of product is 90%(epichlorohydrin as a standard).The technology that synthesizing 3-chlorine-2-hydroxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride with ethanol as solvent is simple,the consumption is less than other methods,the solvent can be used many times,the quality of the product is stable.
